Huxtable saw a void within the Colorado mortgage industry that he was uniquely able to fill with his knowledgeable and professional service. He joined the home lending field in 1975 and owned a successful mortgage company from 1986 until 2008 before going to work for a national bank. With his many years of experience, superior communication skills and love of the business, he has the ability to follow through, always with the best interests of his clients at heart.
Born in California, Hugh graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business. After college, he served in the United States Army as first lieutenant and was honorably discharged. He has lived in Colorado since 1981, and enjoys hiking, water sports, spending time with his grandchildren and visiting Lake Powell.

Jim Van Buskirk – Vice President of Residential Mortgage Lending for Mutual of Omaha Bank in Colorado. Jim Van Buskirk is responsible for overseeing the operation, growth and management of the bank’s residential mortgage lending department in Colorado.
Jim Van Buskirk has been helping people obtain home financing for over 25 years. Jim Van Buskirk prior to coming to Mutual of Omaha Bank served has as First Vice President at Lydian Private Bank Responsible for loan Production for the Western United States. Prior to that, he was President of NexGen Lending, Inc., for four years and Regional Vice President of Fleet Mortgage, Inc., in Denver for seven years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance/Real Estate Construction Management from the University of Denver. Jim Van Buskirk has also has met the education and examination standards required of the Certified Financial Planning Board – Certified Financial Planner – CFP ® and is a past board member of the Colorado Mortgage Bankers Association.
