Located within Central City and Gilpin County, Prospectors Run borders the Continental Divide on the west and two large urban counties on the north and east, Boulder and Jefferson. Most of the land in Gilpin County is forested below tree line and approximately 52% of the County is protected State or National Forest.
The community sits at approximately 8,800 to 9,100 feet in elevation and enjoys weather similar to the foothills although on average is about 5–10 degrees cooler. Prospectors Run is easily accessible year-round offering the solitude of a mountain retreat with modern conveniences just minutes away.
Located on more than thirty-three acres of pristine Rocky Mountains and being surrounded by protected forest, Prospectors Run truly offers some of the best views and activities Colorado has to offer!
